Daughters

Fathers be good to your daughters, cause daughters will love like you do, girls become lovers who turn into mothers, so mothers be good to your daughters too - John Mayer

These words could not be any realer. The absence of a father in a woman's life could doom her relationships with men for the majority of it. Women are born with one need at birth, for one man to shape the image of all of the other men she will meet throughout her lifetime and pray that one has the qualities of him; her father. What happens when he isn't there? Who does she have to mold that image? Sure there are other male family members who can play daddy but none of them can amount to the part of her that matters the most, the part that in part made her; her daddy. Fathers!!(shouts out) do you understand what you mean to that little girl? or what your absence will mean when that little girl becomes a woman? You are part of a formula : Mother + Father + Love = Happy, Healthy, Loving Child. Now lets say you subtract the father from the solution...now It goes without saying that half of that love is gone, leaving a void. There is a probability that she will grow up loving halfway, being halfway happy and far from emotionally healthy. However, that's if she has it good. What happens to the little girl who is presented with more than enough situations where "daddy" is the solution. He's absent and so is her sense of judgment and direction because mommy can't tell her everything. There are two directions in which she can go:
1. She cages her emotions in disabling her from experiencing true love and trust.
2. She becomes emotionally unstable and does whatever she can to fill the void daddy left.
(Bonus)*3. This is very rare, she has neither of these problems, just a small longing to figure out her other half.
Either way something is missing. Daddy's i ask you this, why ask for a gift from god and reject heaven on earth when he places it your hands? I'll never understand

Fathers be good to your daughters, cause daughters will love like you do, girls become lovers who turn into mothers, so mothers be good to your daughters too

Makes Sense

What do you do when you feel like the one you love either doesn't care as much as you do or at all?....Do you give up?....do you give them an ultimatum? What happens when you are having the same conversation twice or 3 times or more because your significant other doesn't feel the need to express his or her sentiments on the matter when you ask the first time?.....Instead of telling you how they feel they assume that everything will be ok if you just ignore the problem. Now you're pretty considerate about his/her other problems but how long do you deny yourself the proper answers before the relationship has run its course early because of an easily solvable problem. I don't understand how it can be hard for someone to just open to the one they love about how they feel about them.....What's worth losing you're sense of self security do to your wall or the one you love because they can't find a way around it?.... People say that if someone can't knock down your wall then they aren't the one who is supposed to be able to do it....I say thats bullshit!....The wrong person could knock down a couple barriers with the right word usage or right "act"....would you rather push those bricks aside or have someone who doesnt belong behind that wall getting through by forcible entry? I will never understand the female psyche....you claim you wan't something soooo much and yet you do everything in your power to get rid of it. Why must you care about the thoughts of other males or females if your significant other let's you know everyday how beautiful or how smart you are?....is that not all you need? someone that genuinely loves you telling you not only what you've been wanting to hear your whole life but telling the truth while doing so?..........I'll never understand how you can be able to push something out of your way thats trying to guide you in the right direction and protect you from those who aren't......seek refuge with people who live in a tent when you have an impenetrable fortress. I guess some things aren't meant for people to understand

Brown Skin (you know I love your brown skin)

A melanin rich complected woman is my selection/true ebony essence/ so supple breasted upon which my head rested/ leaving her as a friend i couldve left it/but that wasn't how our love manifested/ spoke it about to my mans and he atested/ but I had met my queen and indeed was truely blessed/ love an unruly weapon/ she swung with such precision and into my soul she made the deepest incision/out leaked rivers of love that were deep enough to swim in/and they glistened like sunshine off of the brightest prism/ and this was just the beginning/ at her feet I began to pray disregarding all religion/ Imprisoned in her heart/ a cell of 6 by 4 inches/ I pumped my love like blood into the rest of her body.

Rush hour

You're older a lot more longer than you are younger. I just realized today we (young people) spend more time rushing things than just letting them happen. When we were 6 everything was just care-free, and then we turned ten...and when that happened we wished we were older so that we could stay out later, party and do all of the things we saw all of our older family members do because it seemed so fun. Not realizing we were at the age when the most fun happened. Then you hit 16, you're wishing those two years would hurry the hell up because you're just dying to be able to say "im legal". You can club, people look at you as a responsible adult (somewhat) and you have all the freedom in the world. Now you're 18 and you wish you could be 21 because that's the "it" age. You party, move out on your own, of course you can get into the clubs with no problem.. Buy a bottle of liquor? who's stopping you. But here's the catch...the bills come! you settle into your adult life, and ten years from then its all an uphill battle. Of course seeing life as you grow older is beautiful but you don't remember as much when you're speeding through it. You notice how most older people either have all the patience in the world or none at all?...The one's who aren't rushing anything understand that life is all to short of an experience to fast forward. They see rushing into anything is not going to make the outcome any better or come any quicker. They probably use to be speeders on the highway of life...and after a few tickets or so they wisened up and decided to cherish what they have, be patient, and allow time to do what it does best when you wait...surprise you. If you're in a relationship don't give up on it because things are looking down at the moment..it happens, especially when you rush into things a little too soon. What you can do is take it day by day...the results will be what they will..not what you will them to be. Patience can solve even the biggest problem..don't look at the clock because those hands are going to move regardless of what you do..you have no control.. so wait, and when it's time for it to happen..it will happen

In repair

Ever loved someone?....When its great you feel like nothing in your life can ever go wrong..No one can ruin your day because you've been with him/her. That's until something changes that love....He she steps out, and you give it another try but you dont take your time, you rush back into things. At first everything is great because you guys are regaining the trust you once had for one another and you love them so much you would never give up on the relationship...All this bliss is great until reality sets in and when he or she is out all you can think about is what they're doing and who they're with...They say they love you and its true...you say you trust them but you dont...because even though you've both wronged eachother you still feel the pain from the betrayal...It burns like when a bullet first touches your skin before entering but the pain lasts longer...This is what happens when you try to have your heart up and running at maximum output when its still in repair...the cracks havent been filled, the cuts haven't been sown up and the bruises are still as dark as night. You spend your nights crying, wondering if you're enough for them because nothing feels the same wondering how much you have to change about yourself before everything is ok again..wondering if you actually make them happy....because you went out and used your heart when it wasnt ready...its a patch job you did yourself although your mate gave em to you they arent put together right...because putting together a heart takes patience...the patience of both of you, you cannot put it together yourself because you gave it to them so long ago you dont remember the state it was in...All im saying is if your relationship takes a turn for the worse dont have one talk and think its ok because your mind didnt produce all the questions you wanted to have answered at the time...be patient...allow the repair time to heal once its been set in the right place and then build from there...otherwise the relationship will constantly need upkeeping that couldve been prevented had you taken the time to get rid of all the problems at once....Until then you're......In Repair

Untitled

My eyes are like rivers... I cant stop them from flowing....I've come to a conclusion today that Karma isn't a bitch at all . To me shes that woman who spent years of her life slaving and giving to that one man (his name is LIFE) who was everything but appreciative,a man who would say I love you but showed her the exact opposite..so one day Karma leaves this man and would occasionally come back and visit him.. not to say hi, or try to reignite the flame they once had, but to teach him a lesson. With every visit Karma would teach him (LIFE) a new lesson with hopes that he would learn the error if his ways and the affects it had on those around him. One day Karma died....and The man was Very sad.....but he continued to live on....but Karma would not stop visiting him, whenever he did something Positive she made sure something of equal was done in, or given in return to him, and when he hurt someone she made sure that he felt it..not as soon as it was done but whenever she felt the time was right, so he could reflect upon the negative he had done and build upon his character. And then one day he (life) died, and he and Karma became one, and they decided that they could work together to teach those around them simple lessons that only experience could teach, for some it took a while, for others the lesson was learned quick, but a lesson; nonetheless was taught. You see she isnt a bitch at all, just a teacher, no matter how much you hate her she will still be there to teach you. With that said I embrace life and his long lost love, Karma because without them I would not know as much as I do now. The lessons we learn in life only matter if we make the right decisions based off of them...you see some will get scared and give up, others will continue to question the meaning of such things as humans will do because we are very curious, and others will take that lesson and know that they will not be able to fully understand why it happened but that it happened and the little they learned from it they will apply. Im not giving up...you see Karma has paid me a visit, and she is in the middle of teaching me a lesson, about love and her friend life....I love someone and regardless of what we've done to eachother to hurt one another, you dont give up once love becomes apart of your life.......to be continued

State of the "Art

What was started in the Early 70's as a form of expression, Art, and a way to show the world what was going in impoverished neighborhood has become everything but that.....Hip hop is now chains, women, money, and murder murder murder. If half the shit these dudes spoke about in their records was actually true then i would have less of a problem with the content in their lyrics. But what really Irks me is this swag rap shit...my pants cost this, my bitch look like this, my car sound like this, and i got a gun (shit is licensed). Im not sayin Hip hop has to be serious or super lyrical all the time but dammit speak about something else. Because hip hop is so saturated with this kind of stuff, its hard for real lyricists whose music may have a chance of touching the masses to get a damn deal; like myself. And the worst part about it is Hip hop doesnt even live where it was created anymore...it was started in the Bronx, NY; my home! and now its in the south and every place else. I would expect other states to tolerate the shit on the radio..but dammit New York we created this...grew it up, made it whole, made it strong, and then sold it into slavery. We off all people (New Yorkers) should be able to monitor what comes on the radio!.....but oh well, my thoughts are all over the place on this one so bare with me!...Until I hear something worth listening to in todays music My ears will be trapped in between the 70's and 90's when real was real and wasnt questioned!
